About | Paul W. Brady, 84, of Jasper Road, Jasper, Ohio, died 12:55 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at Pleasant Hill Manor in Piketon, Ohio. He was born July 18, 1923, in Jasper, Ohio, the son of Timothy Harry Brady and Ocie Mary Scherer Brady. On Nov. 26, 1952, Paul was united in marriage to Norma Beekman Brady, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, George W. Brady, and wife, Shannon of Piketon, Ohio, and Timothy Harry Brady, and wife, Vicki of Peebles, Ohio; three grandchildren, Grace E. Brady, Alexander H. Brady and Matthew P. Brady; special niece, Wanda Parker, and husband, Ray of McDermott, Ohio; and special nephew, Brandon Moore of Piketon. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ruby Tolliver; and one brother, Charles Brady. Paul was a retired owner operator of Brady's Filling Station in Jasper, a member and trustee of Piketon Jasper United Methodist Church, a graduate of Piketon High School Class of 1942, a veteran of WWII who served in the U.S. Navy, a member of American Legion Merritt Post 142 in Waverly, Ohio, a member of Vallejo Masonic Lodge No. 87 in Vallejo, Calif., a former member of the board of directors of Waverly Building and Loan and a member of Pike- Scioto Farm Service Board. Funeral services will take place 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, with the Rev. Todd Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery in Waverly, with military graveside services by American Legion Merritt Post 142 of Waverly. Friends may call at Boyer Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday.
