| About | Penny E. Nichols, 63, of Columbia Drive, Waverly, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Traditions at Bristol Village in Waverly. She was born March 22, 1947, in Portsmouth, Ohio, daughter of Charles Noel Jr. of Waverly and the late Evelyn Marie Horn Noel. On June 23, 1967, Penny was united in marriage to Gregory Wells Nichols who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Rodney Edward Nichols and wife Traci of Hillsboro, Ohio, Ryan Charles Nichols of Waverly, and Aaron Lance Nichols and wife Aimee of Waverly; Penny's special grandchildren, Reese Jameson Nichols, Tanner Ryan Nichols, Benjamin Wells Nichols and Taylor Davis Nichols, all of Waverly; loving brother, Terry Lee Noel and wife Judith of Piketon, Ohio; and loving sister, Karen Kay "KK" and husband Dr. David Martin of Waverly. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, several cousins and her many friends. Penny was a loving wife, mother, mamaw, sister and daughter. She is and will be truly missed by all that knew her. She was a graduate of Piketon High School Class of 1965, formerly attended Wakefield Freewill Baptist Church and was a member of the Wakefield Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, with Pastor Dale Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Denver Road, Waverly.
