| About | Phillip Taylor, 35, of Wakefield Mound Road, Piketon, Ohio, died Friday January 1, 2016, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born March 2, 1980, in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of Karen Smith of Piketon, and the late Ronald Keith Taylor. Also surviving are three children, Alaska, Aiden and Miranda Taylor, all of Waverly; two sisters, Jillian Hensley of Waverly, Ohio, and Holly Fyffe of Jackson, Ohio; a grandmother, Josie Montgomery of Latham, Ohio; and several uncles, aunts and cousins. In addition to his father, Phillip was preceded in death by his grandparents, Troy Montgomery, and Dan and Retha Taylor. Phillip was a lab tech at Solace in Portsmouth, Ohio, an active member of New Beginnings Church, Beaver, Ohio, and a 1998 graduate of Piketon High School. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Barry Pelphrey officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Piketon.
