Reece Armintrout, 66, of Peebles, a former Piketon resident, died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at a West Union nursing home. He was born July 18, 1933, in Piketon, a son of the late Theodore C. and Verna C. Tackett Armintrout. He was a volunteer at Janie’s Restaurant at Peebles and an Air Force veteran of Korean and Vietnman wars. Surviving are his stepmother, Madgalene Armintrout of Piketon; one brother Willard Armintrout of California; one sister, Thelma Koerner of Columbus; and several nephews and nieces. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles, with the Rev. David Wirth officiating, and interment in Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Hope, 415 ½ Home St., Georgetown, OH 45121. |
