| About | Rev. Raymond Eugene O'Brien, 84, formerly of O'Brien Road, Lucasville, Ohio, died 2:40 p.m. Sunday, 7 February 2016 in Owingsville, Kentucky. He was born 27 July 1929 in Camp Creek Community, Lucasville, Ohio, the son of the late Roe H. O'Brien and Jane L. (Crabtree) O'Brien. On 3 July 1956 Raymond was united in marriage with Bertha Mae (McDowell) O'Brien, who survives. Also surviving are a son Wendell M. O'Brien and wife Carolyn of Morehead, Kentucky; and two granddaughters, Mary Wozniak and husband Luke and Anne E. O'Brien, both of Charleston, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ralph, John and Carl O'Brien and two sisters, Alma McCall and Lorraine Hunt. Raymond was a retired employee of Waverly Blue Flame Gas and a retired pastor, having served Riverdale CCCU, Piketon, Ohio, Mt Zion CCCU, Lucasville, Ohio, Oakhill CCCU, Oakhill, Ohio, Milldale CCCU, Portsmouth, Ohio and as assistant pastor for New Covenant CCCU, Waverly, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Thursday, 11 February 2016 at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME, Waverly with Pastor Mike Holbrook officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon, Ohio Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Thursday.
