Reva Jeanne (Legg) Blackburn. Her courageous battle with cancer ended on March 19, 2008. Born on June 27, 1945 and raised in Piketon, Ohio. A 1963 graduate of Piketon High School, she called Gahanna her home. Reva spent her entire working career in the legal profession; including 21 years in various Columbus law firms. Lovingly and professionally served as the Executive Secretary for The Ohio State Bar Association for 24 years. She was involved in various community service works in Gahanna, a 20 year member of The Gahanna Lions Club; holding various offices and twice served as Club President. She was the recipient of the prestigious Melvin Jones Award for Outstanding Service to the Community from Lions International. Preceded in death by her parents Ella Jane Legg and Paul Legg, sisters Kathy Legg and Judith (Legg) Bucy. Survived by her daughter, Danna Blackburn; grandson, Joey Blackburn; brothers, Larry Legg and Terry (Bev) Legg; dear friends, Gary and Nikki Blackburn, Linda Boyd, Jennifer Moreland and the Entire OSBA Staff; numerous nieces, aunts and cousins. Family will receive friends Friday from 4-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, where the Funeral Service will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008. Graveside Service and interment 12:30 p.m., Mound Cemetery in Piketon, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gahanna Community Congregational Church, 470 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna, Ohio 43230.
