| About | Ronald D. Smith, 66, of Waverly, Ohio died Sunday, December 13, 2009 at his home. He was born October 9, 1943 in Elm Grove, Ohio the son of the late Clayton Oliver Smith and Dora Opal (Ward) Smith. On April 25, 1964, he was united in marriage to Joann C. (Hemming) Smith who survives. Also surviving are: three sons, Tracy D. Smith of Waverly, Terry A. Smith and wife Deloris of Waverly; and David T. Smith of Columbus, Ohio; two grandsons, Tyler and Braxton Smith; two brothers, Darl Smith and wife Kitty of Waverly and Dean Smith and wife Pat of Piketon, Ohio and one sister, Evelyn Moore and husband James of Piketon and several nieces and nephews. Ronald was a retired Produce Manager for Big Bear Stores, Waverly and Chillicothe, attended Piketon Community Church and was a graduate of Piketon High School, Class of 1961. Ronald loved his Lord, family, grandchildren and friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the Pleasant Valley Community Church, Piketon, with Pastor Jack Moore and Pastor Chuck DeWitt officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon.
