About | Rose Mae (Foster) Parker, 78, of 350 Thornton Drive, Apt., 26, Piketon, died 6 p.m. Saturday at the home of her daughter, Janice Tackett. She was a retired cook for the Scioto Valley Local Schools in Pike County. Born September 20, 1915, in Piketon, she was the daughter of John B. Foster Sr. and Grace Mae Rose. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon Francis Parker, in January of 1954; and one sister, Amanda Louise Abel. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Potts of Springfield, Ohio, Mrs. Jerry (Charlotte) Brandt of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Mrs. Ellis (Janice) Tackett of New Carlisle, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; four brothers, Lowell Foster of Midwest City, Okla., John B. Foster Jr., and Ben Foster, both of Phoenix,; five sisters, Gladys Legg of Piketon, Ethel Mosher of Huber Heights, Mrs. Orlan (Mildred) Allen of Tallahassee, Fla., Lillian Cutlip and Mrs. Michael (Adah Mae) Farmer, both of Dayton. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Howe-Wheeler-Boyer-Hornback Funeral Home, Piketon, with the Rev. Donovan Humble officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today (Tuesday) and from 9 a.,. until the service on Wednesday. November 16, 1993 News Watchman |
