| About | Royce Jhon Bumgardner, 46, of Shyville Road, Piketon, Ohio, died Thursday January 6, 2011 in Louisville, Kentucky as a result of an auto accident. He was born February 10, 1964 in Mt Gilead, Ohio, son of Audrey G. Miller Bumgardner of Waverly, Ohio and the late Roy John Bumgardner. On November 23, 1981, Jhon was united in marriage to Carla Marie Stephenson Bumgardner who survives. Also surviving are four children, Maria Garey (Brandon) of Waverly, Rebekka Bumgardner (Joe Keeton) of Galvantis Ferry, South Carolina, Emily Bumgardner of Piketon, Timothy Bumgardner of El Paso, Texas; two granddaughters, Caydence and Lochlynn Garey, two sisters, Christine Ross of Piketon, Carol Whittier of Ashland City, Tennessee as well as a brother, Brett Bumgardner of Piketon. In addition to his father, a sister, Trudy Rhoads preceded Jhon in death. Jhon was a truck driver for J.B. Hunt Transport and a U.S. Army veteran having served during Desert Storm.
