| About | Russell Eugene Carson, 89, River Road, Waverly, Ohio, died 4:15 p.m. Sunday, 19 February 2017 in Pike Community Hospital. Waverly, Ohio. He was born 16 July 1927 in Piketon, Ohio the son of the late, James R. Carson and Mollie (James) Carson. Russell was united in marriage to Dorothy Lee (Smith) Carson on 23 October 1948, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Randy R. Carson of Piketon, daughter Linda Scott and husband David of Waverly, two grandchildren, David Scott and Sheryl Bentley and four great grandchildren, Madison and Kaylee Scott and Brooklyn and R. J. Bentley. His parents, son, David Allen Carson and two brothers, James and Donald Carson preceded Russell in death. Russ was a member of the Beavers Chapel Wesleyan Tabernacle Assembly, a retired employee of the Chillicothe Veterans Administration Hospital and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, 23 February 2017 at the HOWE WHEELER BOYER HORNBACK FUNERAL HOME in Piketon with Rev. Terry Lawson, officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon.
