Born in Piketon, he had been a longtime Barberton resident. Russ was a Red Cross volunteer and an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Barberton. He retired from Practical Machine Co. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Daily Pyle, and is survived by his only daughter and son-in-law Linda and Paul Ligman of Richfield. A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT ST. PAUL'S UNITED METHODIST CHURCH SATURDAY, SEPT. 30, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Paul Farren will be officiating. Interment will be at Mound Cemetery in Piketon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 803 Wooster Rd., Barberton, Ohio 44203.
