| About | Stephen D. Barker, 50, of Piketon, Ohio, died Sunday April 1, 2012 at the Pike Community Hospital in Waverly, Ohio. He was born November 16, 1961 in Portsmouth, Ohio, son of the late Ronald K. Barker and Viola Mae Roe Barker. Surviving are one son William C. Barker of Piketon, a daughter, Stephanie L. Pernell and husband Trent of Piketon; five brothers, Danny Ray Barker and wife Marjorie, David Allen Barker, Jeffrey Lee Barker and wife Sandra and Gary Joe Barker and wife Lori all of Piketon, and Gregory Lee Barker and wife Patricia of Circleville, Ohio. Also surviving is the mother of his children, Jill Chattin. In addition to his parents, two brothers, Darrell K. and Michael W. Barker preceded Steve in death. Steve was a supervisor for Fluor Corporation of Piketon, a former maintenance supervisor for Masco (formerly Mills Pride) of Waverly, a 1980 graduate of Piketon High School and Pike County Career and Technology Center, and a member of the N.H.R.A. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Waverly, with Paul Hornback, Officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon.
