About | Steven D. Brownfield, 63 of Delay Dr. Piketon, died Tuesday March 26, 2013 at the Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born on January 27, 1950 in Waverly, Ohio to the late Dewey and Geraldine Meeker Brownfield. He was united in marriage on April 21, 1967 to Patsy A. Delay Brownfield who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Stephanie A. Brownfield of Piketon, and a grandson, Dalton Montgomery of Piketon. Two brothers: Tom Brownfield and wife Kathy and, Ron Brownfield and wife Sandy both of Piketon, eight sisters: Wanda Crabtree and husband Bill and Doris Dyke both of Waverly, Fleda Zimmerman, Judy Adams and husband Tom, Donna Brodess and husband Jim, Bonnie Louderback, and Janet Harris all of Piketon, and Linda Murphy and husband Tim of Waverly. He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy D. Brownfield, six brothers: Jim, Joe, Gene, Gary, Kenny, and Darrell Brownfield, and two sisters: Juanita Liede and Wilma Brownfield. He was a certified welder and retired from the maintenance shop at the Norfolk & Southern Railroad with 33 years of service. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday at Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly with Paul Hornback officiating. Burial will follow in the Mound Cemetery in Piketon. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 P.M. and Friday from 9:00-1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
