About | In loving memory of Thelma Duke Thelma Duke, 92, of St Rt #772, Piketon, Ohio, died 3:03 p.m. Sunday, 3 December 2017 in Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. Thelma was born 8 June 1925 in Stephens, Kentucky, the daughter of the late John James Creech and Della (Griffith) Creech. On 31 August 1946 Thelma was united in marriage to Clyde Alton Duke who preceded her in death on 5 June 1997. Surviving are her son Johnny W. Duke and wife Loretta and grandson Nathan Duke and wife Rachel both of Piketon, brother Raymond Creech and wife Ruby of Kettering, Ohio and two sisters, Sarah Dean and husband Paul of Williamson, West Virginia and Joann Luttull and husband Jim of Dayton, Ohio. Thelma was a member of the Camp Creek Baptist Church, graduate of Piketon High School Class of 1945 and a retired employee of ITT Thompson, Waverly. Her parents, husband, brother, James Creech and three sisters, Jewell Legg, Edna Martin and Myrl Ison preceded Thelma in death. Graveside services were held 12:00 Noon Wednesday in Mound Cemetery, Piketon. Calling hours will not be observed. Arrangements are under the direction of the BOYER FUNERAL HOME, Waverly |
