| About | Virginia "Ginny" M. Houser, age 86, of Reynoldsburg, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011. Ginny graduated from Piketon High School in 1944 and retired from Jeffery-Dresser in 1983. She was a Methodist, a member of Eugenie Chapter 507 Order of the Eastern Star, Reynoldsburg VFW Post #9473 ladies auxiliary, and Post 340 Bexley American Legion ladies auxiliary. She loved flower gardening, crocheting and travel. Ginny is survived by her husband, David Houser; daughter, Rebecca (Roy) Thornton; and step-daughter, Nancy (Mark) Gray; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, Tuesday, from 5-8 p.m., with an O.E.S. Service at 7 p.m., followed by a VFW auxiliary service. Her funeral service will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m. followed by her interment at Mound Cemetery in Pike County, Ohio. Ginny's family is most grateful for the care she received from the staff at Mt. Carmel East Hospital and Mt. Carmel Hospice. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice.
