| About | William Edward Echard, 79, of St Mary's Lane, Waverly, Ohio, died 12:50 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Bill was born July 16, 1928 in Piketon, Ohio, the son of the late Ray Francis Echard and Grayce (Holt) Echard. Surviving are one brother: Floyd Preston Echard and wife Sharon of Waverly, Ohio; three sisters: Emma Lousetta Snavely of Sidney, Ohio, Mildred Louise Thrush and husband Charles of Bellville, Ohio, Wilma Ann Boyer and husband David of Waverly, Ohio, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by one brother: Ray Richard Echard, three sisters: Bonnie Lou Echard, Norma Jean Rapp and Grace Edith Wik. Bill was a retired farmer, graduate of Piketon High School, class of 1946 and formerly attended Wilson Run Church of Christ in Christian Union. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor D. Timothy Rapp officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Waverly.
