About | Copied and pasted from the Portsmouth Times~~~ Donna Kay Stamper Donna Kay Stamper, 65, of Wheelersburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 8, 2010, at SOMC Hospice after fighting a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Donna was born to the late Offutt and Beatrice Hall Williams on July 1, 1944, in Portsmouth, Ohio. She leaves her loving husband of 45 years, Jerry A. Stamper whom she married May 30, 1964. She is survived by her children, Scott (Amy) Stamper of Lexington, Ky., Terry (Jenny) Stamper and John (Amy) Stamper, both of Wheelersburg. She was known as Grammy to her grandchildren, Grant, Riley, Brayden, Lauren, JJ, and Jarrett Stamper. She is also survived by a sister, Darlene Sexton of East Chicago, Ind. Many remember her as the “lady at the bank†in Wheelersburg. She recently retired as a secretary for Barton Fish. She loved those around her and will always be remembered for her infectious smile and robust laugh. She will be missed by all those who knew her. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 11, 2010, at 11 a.m., with Pastor John Gowdy officiating at the Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Friends may call Wednesday, March 10, 2010, from 4 to 9 p.m. In leiu of flowers, memorial contribultions can be made to the SOMC Hospice Center, 2201 25th St., Portsmouth, OH 45662. |
