About | Smith & Ogle Funeral Home ________________________________________ Bette Ross (Edgington) Bee (March 1, 1926 - September 11, 2009) Bette Ross (Edgington) Bee, age 83 passed away peacefully on September 11, 2009 at Woodland Country Manor nursing home in Oxford, Ohio. Her family was by her side at her passing. She was born on March 1, 1926 in Moscow, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mildred (Donovan) Edgington. She married Earl A. Bee on December 31, 1944 at the Methodist Church in Moscow, Ohio. Bette was a retired teacher and retired Director of Libraries at the Madison Township School District. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, and her love of animals and nature. Her love and patience showed in everything she did. In her youth she spent her summers at Wall Lake, Michigan and as an adult she enjoyed spending time at their farm in Indiana. Bette graduated from Miami University in 1951 with a B.S. in Education. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Earl A. Bee and by her loving daughter Rebecca R. Bee both of Oxford, Ohio; also, her brother Jack Edgington of Monroe, Ohio and Tom (Susan) Edgington of Napierville, Illinois; her dear friend and former student Wanda Harshman and many loving friends. We will miss her. Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 10:30am on Saturday, September 19, 2009 with funeral services beginning immediately following at the Smith & Ogle Funeral Home, 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford.
