Events | His world was Shadyside, Ohio, and cars. Cars were his obsession, and he knew of every unique, hot, or desirable one in the Valley. His sketches of them were hasty but accurate, and had their own aesthetic. But his was a case where the curse of autism robbed him of his mind’s potential, never being fully realized. Who knows that he could have been the next Harley Earl or Larry Shinoda, having designed the next Sting Ray or Mustang? But alas, you see, his great intelligence was always internalized, and he was never able to bring it to its fullest potential. But those are external measures; he was a man like any other, who doted on and cared for his Mother into her old age (103), and was happiest planting a new bush or tree, getting his car to run right, and living in a world that, to him, was as large as any Universe. May he Rest In Peace – Loving Brother, John |
