About | Springfield News-Sun (OH) - February 18, 2007 Deceased Name: Tawnya GLISSMAN GLISSMAN, Tawnya Riggle 45, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2007. She had been ill with cancer for 2 ½ years. Though the cancer ravaged her body, it never conquered her spirit. Her love and concern for her friends and family never ceased. Born March 25, 1961, she graduated from Shawnee High School and attended Clark State Community College. She played a large part in the lives of her nieces and nephews and was always encouraging them in their activities. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mistee Maree and paternal grandfather, Robert R. Riggle. Also preceding her were her maternal grandparents, Bill and Dorothy Craig with whom she lived for several years and also helped to care for in their later life. They were very special to her. She is survived by her parents, Rich and Shara (Craig) Riggle of Peoria, Arizona; brother, Kris Riggle and his children, Claudia Mistee, Richard Charles and Kristin Craig Jr.; and sisters, Shonda Marek-Larkin (Chris) and their children, Taylor Richard and Brandi Marie; Richelle Mills (Brett) and their children, Zachary Michael and Michaela Sue June, all of Arizona and California. Tawny was very fond of her brothers-in-law and appreciated all the many ways in which they helped her. She also included Dillon Brand as a special part of her family. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Juanita Riggle and her special great aunt, Mella June Craig. She also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins to whom she was very close; and childhood friends, Nine Cline and Shari Shaffer and their families remained close. She was blessed to have the loving care of her Hospice nurse and friend, Barb as well as Diana who was so supportive to the whole family. There was also her never-ending love for Christine and Amelia Glissman. Private services will be held and burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial remembrances may be made to Community Mercy Hospice, Children's Benevolence Fund, 1343 North Fountain Boulevard, Springfield, Ohio, 45504.
