About | Connie S. Wells, 61, of Shreve, passed away at her home Aug. 3, 2012, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born Oct. 16, 1950 in Millersburg to Delbert and Marjorie (Miller) Gallion and married Fred Wells Sept. 19, 1969, he survives. She was a graduate of Triway High School and had been employed at Kohls. She loved reading, crocheting, NASCAR and watching football, especially the Cleveland Browns. Surviving in addition to her husband are a son Chad Wells of Funk, a daughter Stacy (Kevin) Cross of Mt. Vernon, a grandson Trevor McElroy, a granddaughter Kayla Cross, three sisters, Betsy (Marvin) Edwards of Lakeville, Barb Shriver of Shreve and Jenny (Stacey) Knight of Kingsport, Tenn., a brother Doug (Jill) Gallion of Creston and a brother-in-law Bruce Nommay of Big Prairie. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Lee Nommay and Teresa. Services will be held on Tuesday 11 a.m. at Schlabach Funeral Home in Shreve with Rev. Dennis Rinehart officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
