About | Obituary Print Aaron Bills | Visit Guest Book MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Aaron "Gary" Bills passed away on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, in Saint Francis Memphis Hospital. He was born Sept. 2, 1950, in Urbana, Ohio. Gary is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Dacus Bills; his twin sons, Morgan K. and Wyatt A. Bills, two granddaughters, Elsie and Taylor Bills; as well as four siblings: Dr. Bing D. Bills (Lucille), Paul K. Bills, Richard V. Bills (Lynnette) and Marcia L. Bills; and many nieces and nephews. Gary was predeceased by his parents, Aaron D. Bills and Betty J. Davey, and his brother, David F. Bills. Gary graduated from Urbana High School in 1968, when he began serving our country in the United States Marine Corps. Gary served in Vietnam until he was injured in the war. He was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps on May 10, 1971. He received the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Purple Heart, Meritorious Unit Citation and the Rifle Marksman Badge. Gary worked at Grimes Manufacturing in Urbana until he moved to Tucson, Ariz., in the early 1970s. Eventually he moved to Memphis, Tenn., and was employed by the TCP Southwind golf course from which he retired in November of 2009. Gary will be cremated with a private, family memorial to be held at a later date. |
