| About | Debra L. "Deb" Brown, 71, of Urbana, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 in Oakwood Nursing Home, Springfield, Ohio. Deb was born September 19, 1950 in Urbana, Ohio the daughter of the late Emerson and Wanda (Anderson) Evans. She was a 1968 graduate of Urbana High School. After high school, Debbie earned her LPN from Clark State. She worked as a nurse at McAuley Center in Urbana, where Deb later retired. Debbie was a member of Life Net Church, Urbana. Deb enjoyed needlepoint, riding the motorcycle in the summer and going out to eat. But mostly, she enjoyed being at home with her pets. Deb is survived by her companion of 42 years, John Gillfillan; son, Matthew Brown; sister, Deena Snapp as well as 4 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mack (Beverly) Evans and brother-in-law, Doug Snapp. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12-2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor John Nolte officiating. Burial will follow in Kingscreek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Miami Valley Chapter, 6077 Far Hills Ave. #117, Dayton, Ohio 45459 or to the donor's favorite animal shelter.
