About | Dwight Alvin Bowser, 50, of Urbana, Ohio, made his transition on March 17, 2001. He was born on September 26, 1950, in Urbana, Ohio, the son of the late Herbert O. and Viola (Chears) Bowser Sr. He was a graduate of Urbana High School. He was a member of Jerusalem 2nd Baptist Church. He was employed at Howard Bond for many years before spending the last 25 years in the trucking industry, most recently for Roadway Express, and was a member of the Teamsters for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was working on golf. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Aja Marie and Aki Michelle, his son, Ashton Micheal, and his best friend, Tina Bowser, of Urbana; four sisters, Miss Athelsteine B. Bowser and Miss Anna M. Bowser, of Urbana, Ms. Rita Bray, of Springfield, and Rev. Dr. Sherry R. Austin, of Atlanta, Ga., one brother, Richard L. (Rita) Bowser; one uncle, Rev. Frank Barnes Jr., of Detroit, Michigan; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert O. Bowser Jr. and Robert Bowser; and one sister, Barbara J. (Bowser) Brown. Friends may call in the Jerusalem 2nd Baptist Church, 1036 High St., Urbana, Ohio, Thursday, March 22, 2001, from 3 to 9 p.m. with this family present from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at the church at 11 a.m., with Rev. Joel King officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery. His family will receive friends at 1892 Short Cut Road. The final tribute is a service of the PORTER-QUALLS FUNERAL HOME, Springfield Chapel. |
