About | Edward E. Finch, 43, 1077 S. Main St., Urbana, died Friday, November 19, 1993 at 4:30 p.m. in Mercy Memorial Hospital. He was born in Urbana, December 10, 1949, the son of Edward and Thelma (Dunn) Finch. A former employee of Drackett, Inc., for 24 years, he was an accomplished musician and bass player for the group "Sudden Impact." He was an avid tennis player, a lover of all sports, especially football and harness racing. As a young man he was a member of the Jerusalem Second Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Paula (Brown) Finch, mother and stepfather, Thelma and Raymond Weaver, all of Urbana; stepmother, Phyliss Finch of Columbus; two sons, Edward "Cub" Finch and Brandon Aaron Finch of Urbana; one daughter, Felecity D. Finch of Urbana; three brothers, Robert Finch of Houston, Texas, Gary Weaver of Urbana, and Duane Weaver of Cleveland; two sisters, Norma Showers and Mary D. Weaver, of Schumburg, Illinois; three uncles, Edward and Harry Dunn of Urbana, and Robert Finch of Bellefontaine; five aunts, Lucille McAdams of Cincinnati, Janet Turner of Harrisburg, Pa., Marie Dunn and Virginia Dunn both of Urbana, Evelyn Finch of Bellefontaine; a dear friend, Charles Rogan of Urbana; a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and two uncles, Paul and Sylvester Dunn. Funeral services will be held Tuedsay, at 1:30 p.m., in the Walter-Schoedinger Funeral Home with the Revs. Ralph Jackson and Joel King officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana. Friends may call on Monday, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home. |
