Juan Miguel Rose, 38 of Xenia, was born Aug. 22, 1968 in Xenia, Ohio and departed this life unexpectedly on Sunday, June 10, 2007 in Louisville, Kentucky.

He was the son of Juan D. Rose and Cynthia C. Franklin. Juan attended Xenia Schools and graduated in 1986. He was an active member of the football team and was the captain his senior year. He was also on the wrestling team, having received the most “take downs” award in 1984. Juan was the offensive coach for the McKinley Panthers football team from 1998 to 2002, winning two super bowl championships. He was an avid horseshoe pitcher, dart thrower, chess player and loved his motorcycles, Nascar and the Denver Broncos. He was a member of the Young Bloods Motorcycle Club in Dayton. He was employed by Allied Fence Builders, Inc. of Dayton for twelve years.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William L. and V. Ruth Cunningham and paternal grandfather, Donald Rose. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving wife, Charlese D. Rose. Four children, Maretha Rose of Pittsburgh, Pa., Bruce Hawkins, Claree’ Hawkins and Jamira Rose all of Xenia. His father and mother, Juan D. Rose of Columbus, Ohio and Cynthia C. (Melvin) Franklin of Xenia, one sister, Angela M. (Reginald) Jackson and a host of other relatives and friends.

West Louisville motorcycle crash kills one
(LOUISVILLE) -- An early morning accident involving a motorcycle has left an Ohio man dead and another person in the hospital. The accident happened just before 2 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of 43rd and Broadway.

Police tell WAVE 3 that a motorcycle and car collided killing the driver of the motorcycle. He has been identified as 39-year-old Juan Rose of Xenia, Ohio. Witnesses told police the driver of the car may be at fault.

"Those witnesses went on to say that apparently the motorist pulled out in front of the motorcyclist causing the motorcyclist to strike him," said LMPD spokesperson Alicia Smiley.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to Jewish Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Two other people in the car were uninjured.

Police tell WAVE 3 News that Rose was with a group of other motorcyclists at the time. One of them was an emergency medical technician who tried to help his friend but was too late.
