| About | Richard Bruce "Rick" Hanser, age 50, of Miami, Florida, formerly of Spring Valley, OH passed away suddenly at his home in Miami. Rick was born July 28, 1958 in Wilmington, OH. He was a drafting engineer and was most proud of the hotel that he engineered in the Virgin Island. He was an avid fisherman, but most of all he was passionate about his children. Rick is survived by two daughters Jimson Bozeman and her husband Jaren of Homestead, FL and Sarah Thompson and her husband Rob of Melbourne, FL; two sons Ricky and Jimmy, both of FL; 3 grandchildren Casandra, Robby and Isabelle. He is also survived by his parents Jim and Sandy Smith, five sisters Lori Carroll and her husband Chris, Nada Colwell (Jimmy Adkins), Kelley Lofthouse and her husband Dave, all of Spring Valley, OH Robin DeWine and her husband Sean of Dayton, OH, Jennifer Harphant and her husband Bill of Xenia, OH; one brother Lou Hanser and his wife Alana of Wilmington, OH and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends March 30, 2009 from 5-8 pm at Conner & Koch Funeral Home, 92 W. Franklin St. (S.R. 725), Bellbrook. Funeral services will be held March 31, 2009 at 11:00 am. Rev. Brian Maguire will be officiating. Burial in Middle Run Cemetery, Spring Valley. Conner & Koch Funeral Home of Bellbrook is in care of the arrangements.
