| About | 12/10/2010 7:16:00 PM Wade E. Allen 1953-2010 Wade E. Allen, age 57, of Beavercreek, formerly of Xenia; passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born January 15, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Ulysses S. and Marjorie Marie (Emery) Allen. Wade was preceded in death by parents; and his brother: Rodney Allen. He is survived by his life partner: Brenda Gamon; and Stephen Gamon, whom he helped raise. He was a graduate of the University of Dayton. He was an Electrical Engineer; founding member of the Miami Valley Astronomical Society; former curator of Astronomy at the Boonshoft Museum; and member of the Kirkmont Presbyterian Church. He also volunteered for the Greene County Parks and was a member of a committee organized to re-establish Xenia following the 1974 Tornado. Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Kirkmont Presbyterian Church, 3377 Shakertown Rd., Beavercreek, OH 45434, with Pastor Dave Brown officiating. Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9 AM until the time of service at the church. Services are in care of McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc. 826 N.
