NEWARK: Anthony 'Tony' Lynn Green, 60, died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at his home. He was born December 18, 1953 in Zanesville, to Thomas Byrd and Patricia Green Burke. Tony was a beloved son, brother, father and grandfather. He especially enjoyed out door activities including scuba diving, fishing, hunting and golf. He was a former Ohio State Highway Patrolman for 10 years in Muskingum county. He also liked to travel and was a 30 year employee of Southwest Airlines. He will be sadly missed by his parents, Thomas Byrd and Patricia Green Burke; son, Anthony Lynn Green II; daughter, Danielle Wilson (Perry); grandchildren, Supreme Infinite Green, Grace E. Wilson and Myah G. Wilson; brothers, Keith (Belinda) Green, Gary Green, Aaron (Candy) Green; sister, Charmane (Robert) Carter, Kimberly (Walter) Dicks, Connie (Theodore) Stevens, Kelly (Vincent) Guinn; step-sisters, Darlene Rowley, Norma (Derrick) Adams, Linda Edwards, Roberta Travis and Nichole (Brian) Byrd and special friend, Julie Hykes. He is preceded in death by half brother, Thomas Byrd Jr. and grandparents, Charles and Virginia Green. Viewing will be Friday, May 16, 2014 beginning at 11 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Hands of Faith Church, 830 Pine Street, with Pastor Mike Bullock officiating. Cremation has been chosen per Mr. Green's wishes. |
