About Aridean Hogan McClelland, age 93, passed away peacefully, at her home, surrounded by her family on Monday, March 19, 2012.

She was born on October 2, 1918 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Fred Hogan and Louise Helms Hogan Bradford Morrison. She was raised on a small farm near Adamsville, Ohio by her aunt and uncle Lyman and Laura Hogan Bowden. After graduating from Lash High School in 1936 she married James White McClelland, owner of OK Coal and Trucking. During World War II she pumped gas and changed oil at the new business. She was a member of the South Zanesville United Methodist Church and also attended Grace United Methodist Church. In 1990 she, with her children, founded Eaglesticks Golf Course which is located on the family farm. In her final days she was cared for and supported by her dear friends from the Lady Bug Club.
