| About | Betty Jane McCoy McKeown, 85, of Zanesville, died at 7:35 pm. Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at Genesis Extended Care Rehab Center, after a lenghty illness. She was born Thursday, June 6, 1918, in Zanesville, the daughter of the Late Daisy Debolt Howard McCoy, and James Gradan McCoy. she was Married to Donald Glenn McKeown, who passed away on October 3, 1999. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, a graduate of Lash High School and the Good Samaritan School of Nursing, Class of 1939. She retired from Good Samaritan Hospital in 1980, after 41 years of sevice as night superintendent and nurse in charge of surgery. She was a member of the Good Samaritan Nurses Alumni Association. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick J. St. and Barbara Jane McKeown of Charlevoix, Michigan; a granddaughter, Kerry Bridgett (Peter) Zahner of Charlevoix; two grandsons, Patrick John McKeown Jr. of Charlevoix and Donald Roarke McKeaown of Saint Clair Shore, Michigan; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to hae parents and husband,m she was preceded in death by a son, Sean McKeown, and a sister, Margaret Schneider. Burial will be in Memorial Park. |
