About | Bonnie J. Clossen (January 10, 1924 - April 14, 2008) Bonnie J. Clossen, 84, of Zanesville, died at 6:42 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2008 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born January 10, 1924, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Guerness and Hazel Daw Brown. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she served as a Deaconess, sang in the choir and served on various committees. She retired as a secretary for the Zanesville Board of Education. Bonnie enjoyed camping, traveling, puzzles and gardening. Surviving are her husband, Dwight E. Clossen , whom she married June 4, 1942, of the home; a daughter, Constance Ann (Roger) Tom of Coshocton, Ohio; six grandchildren, Cheryl Poland of Phoenix, Arizona, Shelly (Kenn) Kiser of Pataskala, Kristi McCarley of Cartersville, Georgia, Jason Tom of Dallas, Texas, Andrew (Kim) Tom of San Diego, California and Michelle Tom of Columbus; five great grandchildren, Alex Poland, Austin and Kaelin Kiser and Ori and Damon McCarley and a sister, Betty Walker of Zanesville. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Brown. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville and one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2008 at First Baptist Church, 105 South 6th Street, Zanesville with Rev. Reginald Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ’s Table, 28 South 6th St., Zanesville, Ohio, 43701 and envelopes will be available at the funeral home. |
