| About | FORT MEYERS, FL: Carol Sue Musselman of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in her home. She was 77. Carol was born November 26, 1939 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Wilbur and Doris Searl. Carol was a proud graduate of Zanesville High School, Class of 1957. With her husband, Richard Lee Musselman, she entered the restaurant business developing over 22 "Waffle House" franchises located in both Kentucky and Indiana over a 15 year period. Carol ultimately moved to Fort Myers and was an active member of The Forest Country Club where she became an avid golfer. In addition to her golf activities, she was an active bowler and served as the social chairman at the club. Carol loved to dance and taught ballroom, ballet and tap. Her sparkling personality and brilliant smile consistently lit up the room. She was a proud member of the Republican National Committee and a passionate lover of dogs; especially rescued dogs. Carol was a devoted mother, beloved sister, loving grandmother and dear friend who will be sorely missed. In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her husbands, Bernard "Barney" Pippenger (1994) and Richard Lee Musselman (2010). She is survived by her children, Maria Pippenger, Bernard "Barney" Musselman, Rob Pippenger and Nina Riis. She is also survived by her brother John Searl and sister, Alice Varner. Carol is also the loving grandmother of 8 grandchildren, Will, Adam, Richard, Joseph, Katherine, Jordan, Storm and Rain and one great grandson, Landon.
