| About | Charles Edward Tom, 51 of Irving TX, passed away Nov. 28, 2007 at the Odd Fellows-Rebekah Nursing Home in Ennis TX, after a courageous battle with cancer. Charlie was born Dec. 6, 1955 in Zanesville, the son of the late Harry and Marjorie Tom. He moved to Texas in the late 1970s and was an employee of Heli One of Dallas. He is survived by two sons, Cory (Beth) Lloyd of Westerville, and Chad (Sara) Tom of Kearny, N.J.; a brother, Roger (Connie) Tom of Coshocton a sister, Susan (Don) Phipps of Zanesville; three grandchildren: Peyton Lloyd, Anna Marie and Noah Tom; many nieces and nephews; former wife and mother of his children, Terra Tom; and his best friend and caregiver, Paul Ketcham of Irving TX. He also leaves behind many friends in Texas and Zanesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Charles and Mary Tom, and Benjamin and Violet Hayes. A caring cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2 pm Saturday Dec. 15, 2007 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Zanesville OH. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. |
