About Charles “Chuck” H. Archer Jr. 86, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 28th, 2024. He was born on September 9th, 1937, a son of Ruth and Charles Archer Sr. He is proceeded in death by his wife Gaynelle Archer whom he was married to for over 50 years, as well as his siblings, Ron, Sue and Jeff Archer.

Chuck was a Veteran and served the US Navy for 4 years. He was the proud owner of Pat Archer and Son’s Machine Shop in which he ran for 34 years. In Chuck’s recent years he was the Falls Twp. Trustee for over 10 years, was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the VFW Post 1058, and the American Legion Post 29. Chuck enjoyed his time outdoors hunting, fishing, and shooting guns but most of all loved spending his time on a golf course. If you knew Chuck, you knew he was a fun spirited person and had a great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed but always remembered for his kind heart.

He is survived by his sister Barb (Denny) Shaw; Children, Rusty(Christine) Archer, Randy (Tina) Archer, and Scott ( Tammy) Archer; Grandchildren, Eric (Ashley)Archer, Erin (Aaron) Murphy, Kyle Archer, Aaron Archer, Cole (Sarah) Carpenter, Paige (Zack) Gullett, James Archer, and Casey Archer; Great Grandchildren, Sage (Josh) Large, Selah Murphy, Sienna Murphy, Ryan Foster, Gatlin Gullett, Harper Gullett, Sophia Carpenter, Adalynn Archer

and Wyatt Archer; Special friend, Shirley Warner and many others.

Friends and family may call on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 3:00-5:00 P.M. and 7:00-9:00 P.M. at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Andrew Wilson officiating. Chuck will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Gaynelle at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
