About | Charmalene M. Means, 52, was born May 12, 1957, in Zanesville, the daughter of Winslow Means, Jr. and the late Edna (Bonnie) Means. Following a sudden illness on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, Charmalene heard her Master’s voice and at 10 p.m. she went to be with her Lord and Savior. Charmalene was a loving daughter, sister, mother, friend and enjoyed being a stay-at-home grandma. She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, where she had served on the Stewardess Board, Usher Board and was a member of the Gospel Choir. She is survived by her father: Winslow Means, Jr.; two daughters: Costella Haley and Stephanie Means both of Zanesville; four brothers: John (Lois) Singleton of Newark, OH; Rico (Debbie) Singleton, Michael (Victoria) Means, and Ricky L. Means all of Zanesville; five grandsons: Tyler and Jalen Haley; Leondre Crosby, Taevon Johnson, and Trejuan “Lil Bit” Bradford; and her little Yorkie TJ. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. In addition to her beloved mother, Charmalene was preceded in death by her brother: Ernest “Pungy” Singleton and a very special Aunt, Shirley A. Means. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. |
