| About | SPRING VALLEY, CA: Christian A. (aka Christopher R.) Budd, 28, of Spring Valley, CA, formerly of Zanesville, died unexpectedly on January 29, 2012. He was born February 5, 1983, in Ashland, OH to Steven Budd and Nancy Drake (Budd) Provance. He lived most of his life in Zanesville and attended Zanesville High School. He was a member of Rolling Plains United Methodist Church in Zanesville. He was a 2001 graduate of Elida High School and Apollo Career Center, Elida, OH. In 2007, he married Jessica Davis and together they had a son, Phelan. They lived in Columbus until 2010, moved to California and later Florida. He was a certified EMT and had worked at Ruscilli Construction in Columbus and Gehring & Burtchin Contractors in Lima, OH. He was also a very talented tattoo artist. Chris was a two time cancer survivor. He was always fun loving, full of energy, and outgoing. He put his heart into everything he did and his smile and humor always lit up a room. Survivors include his wife and son, Jessica and Phelan Budd; mother, Nancy Provance and step-father, Terrance Provance of Spring Valley, CA; brother, Adam Drake Provance of Spring Valley, CA; son, Garrett Bennett of Columbus; father, Steven Budd of Warren, OH; uncles M. Daniel Ford of Crooksville, and Roger E. Drake of Nashville, NC; aunt and uncle, Susan and Michael Klaus of Elida; grandmother, Anne Budd of Ashland; cousins, Alex Ford of Crooksville, Emily Ford of Pittsburgh, PA, and Gavin, Robin and Ian Klaus, of Elida; father-in-law, William S. Davis of New Albany; mother-in-law, Doreen Davis of Reynoldsburg; and brother-in-law, William R. Davis of New Albany. He also leaves behind many loving extended family members and long time friends. A memorial service will be held at Rolling Plains United Methodist Church, 3350 Moxahala Park Road, Zanesville, on February 26, 2012, at 2:00 PM.
