| About | Services will he today and Friday for Christos Gryspos, who died Monday in Santa Cruz after a brief battle with cancer. He was 48. A native of Siros, Greece, Mr. Gryspos moved to the United States in 1946 with his family. They settled in Zainesville, Ohio. Mr. Gryspos was raised and educated in Ohio. He moved to Santa Cruz in 1979. He had been an aspiring rock musician, having toured with several bands as a vocalist in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. In the Santa Cruz area he worked as a painting contractor. Mr. Gryspos is survived by his wife, Rhonda Gryspos of Santa Cruz; his son, Christos Nicholas Gryspos of Arizona; his daughter, Sophia Nyckoletta Gryspos of Arizona; a sister, Clarisse Blase of Aptos; two brothers, John Gryspos of Santa Cruz and George Gryspos of Pacifica; two step-daughters, Deadra and Andrea Allen, both of Santa Cruz; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, 223 Church St., Santa Cruz. The Trisigion Service will be at 7 p.m. today at Norman's Family Chapel, 3620 Soquel Drive, Soquel. Visitation will be at the chapel today from 1 p.m. until the service.
