About | KNOXVILLE, TN: Clarence Frederick Kronenbitter age 91, formerly of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at home in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was known to most as "Kroney". Preceded in death by wife, Mildred Haase; father, and mother, William Clarence Kronenbitter and Edith Watier; sister, Betty Fowler. Survived by wife, Betty Kitts; stepson and wife, Bill and Marlene Benish; grandsons and wives, Micheal and Michelle Benish, Mark and Renee Benish, Eric and Leanne Benish; twin great-grandsons, Sam and Cooper Benish; step daughter and husband, Candy and Rock Parke; lifelong friends, Ted Mautz and Nola Yeager, John and Judy Lawter, and beloved dog Fritz. Mr. Kronenbitter was a member of Emanuel Church of Christ in Zanesville, Ohio. He graduated from Lash High School in 1939. In July 1942 he joined the United States Air Force serving as a Flight Officer. He trained as a bomber pilot flying the B-24 and B-25. He left the military in 1946 and went to work for the American Electric Power Co. in Ohio. He retired in 1982 after 41 years of service with the company. On December 2, 2012. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Lynnhurst Funeral Home, graveside service will be at 1:30 at Lynnhurst Cemetery with military honors. |
