Clifford J. Mohler, 90, of Zanesville, died peacefully at 5:25 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Adams Lane Care Center under Genesis Hospice Care. He was born on December 18, 1923 in Redfield, Ohio a son of the late Isaac and Elizabeth Mohler. He married Juanita (Lashley) Mohler on Sunday, June 23, 1946. He was a faithful member of the Faith United Methodist Church. Cliff graduated from Lash High School in 1941. He served in the Army Engineer Corp at Fort Belvoir, VA. He retired after 40 years as a chemist at the Columbia Cement Co. He was a charter member of the Newton Township Volunteer Fire Department, former member of the Maysville School Board. He was a 50 year member of the Lafayette Lodge #29 and a 32nd Degree Mason of the Valley of Cambridge Scottish Rite.He is survived by his wife of 68 years Juanita Mohler; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa (Charles) Johnson and Roberta (Donald) Covert; a granddaughter and grandson Cassie (Chris) Donovan of Hilliard; a step-granddaughter, Michelle Mushkin of Phoenix, AZ.; one great-granddaughter Reese Donovan; two step-greatgrandsons Darren and Andrew Mushkin; his brother-in-law Robert Lashley; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Lois Senter; a sister-in-law Barbara Lashley. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2014 and from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive in White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Pastor Nancy Amos officiating and burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park. |
