| About | Darrell E. Lear, 63, of Zanesville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. Darrell was born on January 28, 1947 in Zanesville to Burl and Margaret "Peg" Brock Lear. Darrell was a 1965 Graduate of Zanesville High School and was currently employed by Zanesville City Schools as the Food Service Coordinator and Construction Liaison. He previously was the Transportation Coordinator for Zanesville City Schools and worked for AEP/ Central Ohio Coal Company. Darrell was the President of the Muskingum County Democratic Party, a member of the Board of Elections, Ohio High School Athletic Association, a Soccer Official, Jury Commissioner, a member of Lodge of Amity #5 F.&A.M., and a member of First Christian Church where he served as Deacon. Darrell formerly served on the Zanesville City Zoning Board and Planning Commission. Darrell is survived by his loving wife, Judy Hutchins Lear of the home; two sons, Brad (Misty) Lear of Zanesville, and Jeremy (Christina) Lear of Arizona; his mother, Margaret "Peg" Brock Lear of Zanesville; two brothers, John "Bill" (Rose) Lear of Dresden and Richard "Dick" (Pam) Lear of Zanesville; two sisters, Beryl Lynn (Homer) Dennis of Zanesville and Roxanne (Jody Dennis) Lear of Zanesville; and a granddaughter, Mercedez Lear; and many nieces and nephews. Darrell was preceded in death by his father; and his grandparents, Elwood (Josephine) Lear, William J. Bryan, and Linnie Brock; a half brother, Roger Lear; and an infant son, Jerry Brent Lear. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. |
