| About | David Alan Amende, 69, of DelRio Texas sadly passed away on October 3rd, after a long battle with cancer. Born April 8, 1957 in Mansfield, OH to Oscar E. Amende and Martha L. (Benjamin) Morrison. After graduating high school majoring in Horticulture at M.A.J.V.S. he went on to join the Army and reached the rank of Sergeant and always looked back at that period as one of the best times of his life. For the majority of his working career he was a long distance truck driver which he enjoyed for the solitude being the oldest of 8 children. He left Zanesville in his early 20's and lived in Georgia and Texas most of his adult life. After retiring he enjoyed on-line gaming and was a huge movie buff and trivia wiz. He is preceded in death by his father, Oscar E. Amende and Step-Father, George C. Morrison. His grand-parents, a nephew, Shawn A. Amende, and a step-brother George Morrison Jr. He is survived by his sons, Davey and Andy, his mother Martha, sisters Crystal (Wyatt) of Wilmington N.C., Diana (Shore) of San Mateo, FL , Linda Amende and Karen (Myers) both of Austin, TX. Brothers Rick L. Amende of Leander TX, Douglas E. Amende of Del Rio, TX and Christopher J. Morrison of Zanesville, OH Also loved by his step-siblings Tammy (Scott) Trisha (Johnson) Traci (Bugglin) and Paul Morrison. He was a big, lovable soft-spoken teddy bear and as it turns out quite the romantic. He asked that the love of his life, Kim Farrell, be mentioned as the one that got away and his biggest regret in life. No services will be held. A brief ceremony to spread his ashes will be held in Austin, TX. |
