David Alan Woodyard Obituary

Graduation Year Class of 1974
Date of Passing Mar 25, 2023
About On March 25, 2023, David Alan Woodyard, 67, of Bel Air passed away suddenly; devoted husband of 45 years to Roxann Woodyard; cherished father of Alan Elliott Woodyard, and Holly Allison Stewart and her husband Dan; beloved grandfather of Stefanie, Alexa, Wyatt, Logan, and Ava; loving son of Ruth Woodyard and the late Fred Woodyard; dear brother of Gregg Woodyard and his wife Kathy, and Regina Sprankel and her husband Jack; dearest son-in-law of Rita Ingram and the late James Ingram; with many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many loving family and friends.

Dave grew up traveling with his family, as a boy, and that continued into his adulthood. He had visited 47 states, Canada, Germany, Finland, Egypt, Israel, and a few other countries that it is hard to remember them. Dave was a Jeopardy fan to the max, loved to read, listen to music, spend time with family and be involved with church which was part of his entire life. He served as an elder for almost 7 years for the Aberdeen Church of Christ. Dave met Roxann while attending Lipscomb University in 1975 and married in 1977. He loved God, his family and utterly enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren grow up. He is at peace now!

Family and friends will honor and celebrate David’s life at the Evans Life Celebration Home – Bel Air, 3 Newport Drive, with a visitation on Friday, March 31, 2023, from 4-7PM. Where a service will be held, Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 10AM.
