About | David Allen Wade, born to the late James E., Sr. and Lillie Wade on Oct. 27, 1959, in Zanesville, Ohio went home to eternal rest on July 28, 2007. He made his transition at Genesis Good Samaritan campus surrounded by his loving family. David was the youngest of 11 children. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harold, Ernest and Sylvester Staunton. He leaves to cherish his memory six loving children, David Sowers, of Zanesville, Meagan Curtis of Columbus, Morgan, Marshall, and Markell Curtis of Zanesville; grandchild Brooklyn Sowers; two brothers, Daniel (Ella) Magginson, Monroeville, PA, James Jr. (Helen) Wade of Beavercreek; five sisters, Deanna Martin of Zanesville, Lucille (Wayne) Boyd of Joppa, Md., Ella (Michael) Beer of Wilson, N.C., Gloria (Vermon) Dillon of Xenia, and Deborah Wade of Columbus.; brother-in-law, Paul Martin, and Latonya Sowers and Kelly Curtis the mothers of his children; aunts, Jaunita and Hazel Staunton, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; special friends, Forrest (Tikey) and Kevin Straughter and Ruthie. David confessed Christ and was baptized at an early age. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church. A 1977 graduate of Zanesville High School, he was a proud graduate of the Central State University, having earned a bachelor of science degree in recreation.David will be remembered by people for many different reasons. As a family, we cherish the memory of his love, senese of humor and his gift fo gab. He will be missed by all who knew and truly loved him. We ask at this time, that we all take a close look at our lives, and to realize how precious and short life can be. We love you David, and are grateful to God, that you are finally at peace. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Burrell Funeral Services, 414 LaSalle Street. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, at the Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Raleigh Ragland and Reverend Doctor Gloria Dillon officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. |
