| About | David ”Dave” Francis Chaffin, 79 of Roseville died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at his home. He was born July 22, 1943 in Zanesville the son of George Elbert Chaffin and Mary Jane Rodocker Chaffin. Dave graduated in 1963 from Zanesville High School and worked with his father as a young man in the family business, G.E. Chaffin Machining Company. He later was employed for some time with Walker Manufacturing Company in Hebron Ohio and then for Owens Corning in Newark Ohio where he retired in 2001 after over 20 plus years of service. He also served for six years in the Army Reserves. Dave especially enjoyed his breakfast meals at Bob Evans. He is survived by his sons, Ed (Sonya) Chaffin, Brian Chaffin and Kevin (Mary) Chaffin; grandchildren, Allison (Cody) Yerian, Kylee (Andrew) Minosky, Ashtyn Chaffin, Justin Chaffin, Bailey (Alex Brokaw) Chaffin; great grandchildren, Kacen, Kasidee & Tucker Yerian and Ila Brokaw with two more on the way; two sisters, Susan (John) Roberts and Mary Ann (Bob) Whitlinger. Dave was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with funeral service at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with Chaplain Randy Gearhart officiating. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. |
