About | David Wayne Hollins, age 63 of Zanesville, passed away unexpectedly at 3:56 PM, Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. He was born Saturday, April 19, 1958, in Zanesville, the son of Theodore Hollins and Ruth “Peg” (Newman) Hollins. He was married on Saturday, September 12, 1981, to Renee E. (Newman) Hollins, who survives. David was a private person and many people were unaware of his many accomplishments. David served as an Ohio State Trooper for over 20 years and was the one of the youngest graduates of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy. He loved travel and photography, but above all he was devoted to his family. He was a loving and companionate man who would help anyone and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Renee, three sons, Derek (Tracy) Hollins of Guangzhou, China, Jason (Ashley) Hollins of West Lafayette, and Corey Hollins of the home; four grandchildren, Avyn, Leigha, Eve Mia and Hailey; one brother, Robert Newman of Zanesville, and two sisters, Vicki Newman of Cambridge, MD, and Kathy Hollins of Zanesville; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and many cousins. |
