About | Debra Yvonne Blanton, 71, of Chandlersville, died at 3:21 PM, Monday, August 30, 2021 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, Zanesville. She was born November 29, 1949, in Dover, Ohio a daughter of the late Bernard R. and Donna J. Redman Mohler. Debra worked for Essex Wire, was well known working at Nicol’s Restaurant as the “pie lady” and retired from Zanesville City Schools in the cafeteria. She was a member of the Zanesville Baptist Church, liked to fish, camp, take long drives in the car, but especially enjoyed all activities with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Glen A. Blanton, whom she married March 2, 1968, two sons, Scott (Mary) Blanton and Brian (Allison) Blanton; five grandchildren, Amanda Blanton, Brittany (Todd) Bogner, Drue Blanton, Coen Blanton and Lillian Blanton; a great granddaughter, Chassis Carsey; a sister, Donna Lynn (Dana Swingle) Latier; two brothers, Rusty (Beth) Mohler and Kenneth Robert Mohler and several nieces and nephews including Tama Mahon who cared for Debra at Adams Lane Care Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Monty Mohler. |
