| About | Donald D. Cooper, 86, of Zanesville, died Friday April 6, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 19, 1926 in Zanesville. He was a lifelong resident of Zanesville. He graduated from Lash High School in 1944. He was formerly employed at Timken Roller Bearing in Zanesville and after that he was a home builder for 40 years with his brother Kenneth Cooper. After retiring he loved tending his strawberry patch. He was a member of First Christian Church of Zanesville where he served as a Deacon and was a member of the Men's Bible Class and the Willing Worker's Class. He is survived by his wife Ida (Wilson) Cooper of the home; two daughters Jane Cooper of the home and Susan (Todd) Thompson of White Cottage; one brother Kenneth (Margo) Cooper of Zanesville; one sister-in-law Coralie Wilson; nieces and nephews Sharon Bauer, Karen Sprankle, Cyndi (Brent) Glass, K. Brian Cooper, Theresa (Randy) Newsom, Marsha Wilson, Glenn (Ellen) Wilson, Jack (Charlotte) Wilson, James (Linda) Wilson, Danny (Lorna) Wilson, Cynthia (Michael) Carsiotis; numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Denzil and Hilda (Zollars) Cooper; one sister Betty Cooper; one niece Kathy Finley. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park. |
