About | Donald Frederick Hampp, 76, of Zanesville, died at 5:25 p.m. Thur. Aug. 30, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 5, 1936 in Zanesville the son of the late Emil and Gladys Hampp. Donald married Garnet L. Dunwoody in 1956 and together they raised five beautiful children. Donald took great pride in his family and the farm he owned. He enjoyed farming, tractors, collecting records, hunting and spending time with his family. He retired from Rockwell/Meritor in Heath, Ohio in 1995. He was a member of UAW Local 1037, the N.R.A., and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank the Genesis Hospice staff for their care and support during Donald's long term illness. He is survived by his wife Garnet (Dunwoody) Hampp of the home; Five children, Gladys (Wayne) Hartman, Anita (Ray) Clark, Teresa (Ronald) Spring, Lisa (Rusty) Jenkins, and Donald (Christine) Hampp; Twelve grandchildren, Chuck, Melissa, Mandy, Ashley, Andrew, Chelsea, Chris, MaLisa, Kaitlin, Rachel, Donna, and Treva; Four great -grandchildren, Emilie, Gaige, Madison, and Logan; Two sisters, Mary Pletcher and Martha (Glenn) Ribble; Also two special nephews, Mike and Ray Kirkbride;and a special niece Michele Thompson. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park. |
