| About | Doris E. Launder, 99, of Zanesville, passed away at 12:59 p.m. Saturday February 5, 2022 at Genesis Hospital. She was born on January 29, 1923, in East Fultonham, the daughter of Elmer and Clara Beem. Doris graduated from Lash High School and attended Capital University. After retiring as secretary of South Zanesville Elementary School, she traveled with her late husband, Marion, spending many winters in Okeechobee, Florida. She enjoyed golfing and spending time with family and friends. Doris was a member of South Zanesville United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Marion, and a son Lynn. She is survived by a son Randy (Sheila) Launder. Three grandchildren Dana (Kristy) Launder, Darcy (Chris) Stewart, and Sean (Jessie) Launder. Six great-grandchildren Damen, Karly, and Kara Launder, Brendon and Brantley Stewart, and Owen Launder. At her request, no calling hours will be observed. William Thompson & Son Funeral Home is handling the arrangements and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. |
